Throughout history war has had a profound effect on the men and women of rural America, bringing changes to them as well as to the communities from which they came.

Perham's In Their Own Words Veterans' Museum invites you to experience the memories and events of those who were there in an auditory, and/or visual experience through the use of video documentaries and interviews as well as audio commentaries.

In Their Own Words Veterans Museum and HACA Art and Events Gallery is a Museum and Cultural Events Center operated by the 501c3 nonprofit History, Arts and Cultural Association of East Otter Tail County, or HACA. HACA also operates the The History Museum of East Otter Tail County which includes the East Otter Tail Historical Society and Perham Pioneer Village, with a mission to unite humanities, art, community and culture.
